Tricks

“I’ll die“, said Robin, “I’ll die if they don’t have that dress ready.”

Tricks, from Alice Munro´s short story collection Runaway, opens with Robin´s rather dramatic announcement, which immediately draws the reader´s attention to the item, “that dress”.

Run away

I’m on the flight heading back to Norway after spending six days in China. A break from the routines. I call it “runaway”. The phrase is certainly used with a metaphoric sense as I don’t have a good cause to justify the expression.
